Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy - Raton
Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy is currently operating in a new facility designed to function as a rehabilitation and wellness center. Thus far, we have truly acted as primary healthcare providers in the entire region, providing therapy to the complete continuum of care: from acute care, to home health, to outpatient, as well as the local skilled nursing facility. Not only does this benefit the patients' confidence and peace of mind, but it increases communication with the local physicians which we have a very strong relationship with. It also provides us, as therapists, with a variety of practice that makes each day an exciting challenge. Besides this variety of practice, we also have the following available with our new clinic:
- Aquatic therapy, including individual open swim or exercise time, as well as organized aquatic exercise classes. Our pool is 13 feet by 20 feet, with a graded floor from 3 to 5 feet, and will be maintained at 90 degrees. It will utilize the latest in ventilation and chemical care, as well as have a lift chair.
- A fitness center complete with several new pieces of cardiovascular equipment, free weights and benches, and a series of exercise machines to create an "express circuit." This circuit will allow a person to complete a progression of machines in 25-30 minutes, creating an efficient workout.
- A highly trained staff including three Doctors of Physical Therapy, a PTA, a licensed Athletic Trainer with certificates in strength and conditioning, and a Physical Therapy Technician.
- The option for complete one-on-one exercise sessions with a personal trainer.
- Bodywork and massage by our licensed massage therapist.
- Educational and informational sessions on several health-related topics, such as nutrition and diabetic care, led by local health experts.
- And hopefully many, many more programs, such as outdoor fitness clubs, as we grow!
